Dogs4Walks
Service Agreement

Agreement Parties & Services

This Dog Walking Agreement is made between Dogs4Walks, hereafter “Walker,” and [Client Name], hereafter “Client.” The Walker will provide dog walking services for Client’s dog(s) as discussed (e.g., on specified weekdays, for approximately X minutes per walk). The specific schedule and services (number of walks per week, duration, and any special instructions) will be agreed in advance and can be adjusted by mutual agreement.

Payment & Invoicing

The Client agrees to pay the Walker at a rate agreed upon per walk (or a weekly/monthly rate of $). The Walker shall issue invoices to the Client for each walk, or on a weekly basis—typically every Friday—for services rendered during the preceding week. Payment is due within 24 hours of the invoice date. If payment is not received on time, Walker may pause services until the balance is paid. The Client may pay via [preferred payment methods] as specified in the invoice. A fee of $10 may apply for any late payments or return transactions.

Cancellation Policy

If the Client needs to cancel a scheduled walk or pet care visit, at least 24 hours’ notice is required. Cancellations by the Client with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged at the full rate for the missed visit, or at the Walker’s discretion, the walk can be rescheduled. Consistent repeated cancellations may result in a requirement for pre-payment or a stricter policy for that Client. If the Walker must cancel on short notice due to an emergency, the Walker will inform the Client as soon as possible and attempt to reschedule the walk or arrange a substitute if available.

Extreme Weather Conditions

The safety of the pet(s) is a top priority. In the event of extreme weather – such as severe thunderstorms, heavy snowfall/blizzards, dangerous ice, or extreme heat/humidity – the Walker reserves the right to shorten the length of the walk or modify the service for that day for the pet’s and Walker’s safety. On days with hazardous weather, a brief relief break may be provided in lieu of a full walk if a full session is unsafe. No rate discount will be applied for a shortened walk due to weather, since the Walker is still reserving that time and ensuring the pet’s needs are met in a safe manner. The Walker will communicate with the Client if weather conditions require a change in plan.

Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to provide accurate information about their dog(s) and to furnish any equipment or supplies the dog may need during walks. This includes supplying a secure collar or harness and a sturdy leash for each dog (approved by the Walker for safety). If the dog uses any special equipment (such as a coat in winter, boots, or a muzzle if needed), the Client must provide those items in good condition.

The Client must ensure their dog is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including rabies, and provide proof of current rabies vaccination upon request. The Walker reserves the right to refuse service or cancel a scheduled walk if the dog does not have a valid and current rabies vaccination record on file.

The Client will provide the Walker with keys or access codes needed to enter the home to pick up/drop off the dog (if applicable). Any keys provided will be kept secured by the Walker and used only for the purposes of the agreed services. The Client must notify the Walker of any behavioral issues, triggers, or medical conditions that might affect the dog during walks (e.g., anxiety, aggression toward other dogs, fears like thunderstorms, tendency to slip out of collars, etc.).

Pet Injury or Illness & Emergencies

The Walker will take all reasonable precautions to keep the Client’s pet safe and healthy during scheduled services. In the event the dog becomes sick or injured during a walk, the Walker will first attempt to contact the Client (and/or the emergency contact provided). If the Client or contact cannot be reached immediately, the Walker is authorized to seek veterinary care for the pet as needed. The Client will be responsible for any vet fees incurred for such emergency treatment

Liability & Indemnification

The Client is responsible and liable for any loss of the dog or injury to the dog that is not caused solely by the Walker’s negligence. The Client is also liable for any injuries or damages the dog may cause to any third party or property during the course of the walks, except if caused solely by the Walker’s actions. The Client will be liable for all medical expenses or property damage resulting from any injury to the Walker caused by the Client’s dog. The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Walker harmless from any claims arising from the dog’s behavior or actions during service, except where caused by the Walker’s willful misconduct or gross negligence

Keys & Home Access

If the Walker has access to the Client’s home, the Client will provide necessary key(s) or electronic access. Keys will not be labeled with the Client’s address and will be stored securely. Upon termination of services, the Walker will return any keys immediately.

Photographs

With your permission, we capture photographs of your dog during walks or visits for the purpose of showcasing them on our website and social media platforms. Should you wish to opt out at any time, please feel free to contact us.

Term and Termination

This agreement will remain in effect until terminated. Either party may terminate with written notice (recommended: 7 days). The Walker may terminate immediately if the dog poses a safety risk, if the Client fails to pay, or if there is a material breach of this agreement.
